From Foundation to Future: Alkerden C of E Academy Construction Update
We are delighted to announce that construction is officially underway at the permanent site for Alkerden C of E Academy. Significant progress has already been made, with the concrete frame now in place up to the second floor of the main building. This is a major milestone, bringing us closer to the realisation of a modern, purpose-built learning environment for our future students.
In addition to the main building, we are pleased to report that the footings for the Community Sports block have now been completed. This new facility will offer valuable space for physical education, extracurricular activities, and community events, further enhancing the academy’s role as a hub for both education and wellbeing.
While the permanent building continues to take shape, we are also preparing for the arrival of our temporary school building, which is due for delivery in mid-April 2025. This will enable us to begin welcoming students while the main construction is completed, ensuring that we can offer a high standard of education from the outset.
Looking ahead, we are on track for a grand opening in September 2025, and our team is hard at work planning the curriculum, recruiting staff, and developing an exciting range of activities to make Alkerden C of E Academy a truly special place for learning and growth.
