Groundbreaking Leadership: Heads of School Visit the Development

Our Heads of School had the exciting opportunity to visit the Alkerden Academy development, giving them an up-close look at the progress of this groundbreaking project.
It was a moment to witness firsthand how the vision for the academy is coming to life. With the construction site bustling with activity, the Heads of School were able to see the transformation from plans on paper to the physical structures taking shape. Walking the grounds, they were able to fully immerse themselves in the future of the academy, envisioning the vibrant learning environment it will soon offer to students and the local community. This visit not only highlighted the scale and ambition of the project but also allowed the Heads of School to gain a deeper appreciation for the work that has gone into making Alkerden Academy a reality.
Dressed in full safety gear, including high-visibility jackets, steel-capped boots, gloves, and hard hats, they walked the site with a sense of anticipation, visualising the future of the academy and the impact it would have on the local community.
The construction has been progressing steadily, with the concrete frames for the secondary phase building now nearing completion. This phase includes the addition of community sports facilities, further enhancing the academy’s ability to serve not only its students but also the broader area. The groundwork for the primary phase is also advancing well, with the footings now fully finished and ready for the next stage of construction.
For all those involved, the visit was an exciting and emotional moment, as it offered a tangible glimpse of how far the project has come since its inception. When it was first awarded in March 2018, the vision for Alkerden Academy was just that – a vision. Now, it is steadily becoming a reality. The transformation from concept to construction is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. It is not just about building a school; it’s about creating a vibrant and lasting community hub that will serve future generations. The visit left everyone inspired and eager to see the next phases unfold as the academy continues to take shape.
